Favorite Baby Gear

Ft. Nuna Pipa Lite + UppaBaby Cruz

Shopping for a little human is exciting and fun, new clothes, furniture, bottles, etc. but when it comes to baby gear it can get overwhelming. These days there are so many options and not only do we have countless options, gear evolves just as fast as an iPhone. So what was useful two years ago has likely advanced in some way.

After giving away all our baby gear we found ourselves having to repurchase our gear. Here are some of favorites so far:

Stroller

With my first two I used the UppaBaby Vista. I loved this stroller, hands down worth every penny. If you can splurge on a single item, let it be the Vista. I loved that it grew with my family so no need to purchase another stroller. Best of all, it’s evolved. Unfortunately, we ended up giving this away (big regret for many reasons) so I had to find a new one and the Vista no longer fit our needs since our family is officially not going to grow anymore.

After an extensive search I choose the UppaBaby Cruz for baby Mila. The Cruz has all the ease of the Vista but without the hefty price tag. It’s also perfect for one baby. If you’re not planning to have more children the Cruz would be a nice fit. It pushes with ease, closes effortlessly, has plenty of storage, and is sleek. It’s also compatible with various car seats.

Car Seat

I’m a big Uppababy fan but for the carseat I opted for Nuna Pipa Lite. Why? Because its the lightest carseat on the market! I have been very pleased with the Nuna. It is light but sturdy. The base is solid once it’s installed. And I LOVE the dream drape, I must say it has quickly become one of my favorite features.

RockaRoo

My other kiddos hated the MammaRoo so I didn’t want to spend on it again. So I was convinced on getting a swing since this what my other two enjoyed most. I found the RockaRoo which acts just like a swing in a front to back motion. My little one has liked it so far and has even had some Zzz’s in it.

Baby Carrier

I didn’t use a baby carrier for my first babies, then again they were watched by my mom when I went back to work so perhaps I didn’t see much of a need for it. But, now, not sure how I would have made it past week three without it. I bought the ErgoBaby because of the versatility and it has been a huge life safer. It helps calm baby when she’s fussy during one of her colic/reflux episodes. It frees my hands to let me do some housework, check email, etc. but it also helps get baby to sleep.

Diaper Bag

Diaper Bags have certainly become much trendier then they were 10 or 5 years ago. I remember my sister would have some character diaper bag. Now, you don’t even need to use a diaper bag. A large tote will work just fine. All you need is an insert to help keep baby items organized and within arms reach. I love the ToteSavvy. It has kept my LV organized (mostly).

DockATot

We love our DockATot. We used it for about 4 months. The first three and half months we used it on the bed to co-sleep, then I transitioned her to the crib. Yes, with the DockATot. I do realize that it’s not intended for this use but I did it mainly to transition her to the crib. She did great as she simply outgrew the DocATot.
