Beauty // Neutrogena Collaboration

Hi, dolls! I partnered with Neutrogena to bring you an honest review of their latest mask product(s): Radiance Boost Hydrogel Mask, Deep Clean Hydrogel Mask, and Deep Clean Clay Mask.

Neutrogena has been a staple on bathroom vanities for years. It was my go to in high school and all these years later it still remains on my vanity. Any make-up artist will tell you that flawless, radiant skin is the foundation for great looking makeup or natural glow.

Taking care of our skin is essential, it helps prevent wrinkles and keeps us looking young. However, many things go into the skin – face wash, face masks, facials, moisturizer, SPF, etc. Today we’re are going to focus on the face mask and the wonderful benefits of getting a mask done often.

Masks help clear our pores from unwanted everyday gunk that can cause breakouts, blackheads, whiteheads, and enlarged pores. Nobody like those. I have an oily T-Zone and I’m prone to those pesky blackheads plus I have enlarged pores. But a good mask can help remedy these things and keep your skin look radiant.

DEEP CLEAN CLAY MASK

Neutrogena’s deep clean clay mask did an amazing job clearing out the T-Zone area, especially the nose. The clay was very pliable and easy to apply using my fingers, no fancy brush needed. I’ve used masks before and some immediately give a tingle a sensation, this mask, however, did not. I did wonder if it was working since I did not feel a tingle like I normally do but as it was drying I felt my skin getting tight. I let sit for 15 minutes and washed off with warm water. My skin felt and looked amazing. I was really happy with the results of the clay mask and will defiantly try again.

RADIANCE BOOST HYDROGEL MASK

I followed the clay mask with the Radiance Boost Hydrogel Mask. This 100% hydrogel mask is packed with vitamin B3 to help brighten, boost radiance, and smooth skin texture. This mask is a little different from the clay mask since the product is applied through a clear gel mask that sits on your face. For me, this was a bit of an inconvenience since I had to lay down or keep my head still for the time I had it on but the gel did feel cool and refreshing when applied. Recommended time for application is 15-30 minutes. I kept it on about 20 or so. To remove the gel mask I patted the product into my skin right before pulling the mask off my face. I did not wash my face after but I did feel the product seep into my skin and dry, almost like a moisturizer. My skin looked great after using both products and even the following morning.

HYDROGEL vs. CLAY

My preference was the clay mask simply because it allowed me to continue my activities. If you’d like to get a true spa feel or make a mini spa day at home while sitting in the bath or something similar, the hydrogel mask would be perfect. I also liked how the clay mask cleared my T-Zone and did not tingle on my skin. If your not a fan of those tingly masks, then this mask is definitely a must try.
