The State Fair of Texas is a pretty big deal around DFW, so much so, that kids get a day off from school and a free pass to the fair. Granted, the pass is only good Mon – Fri but like I said they get a day off to go.
The last time we’d been to the fair was about three or four years ago. I think my youngest was still in diapers and not walking. It wasn’t very fun for them or me. Maneuvering through a crowd is challenging but maneuvering through a crowd with a stroller poses its own set of challenges. I left that year so fed up that I swore never to go back again…. well at least until the kids were old enough to understand and enjoy themselves.
We had three days off during the 3 week-long fair so I decided to give the fair another go, now that the littles ones are older. I’m so glad I did because they had so much fun and it was relatively stress-free. Yes, there was a crowd but lines were not ridiculously long and I was able to snap some picture of the fun.
